Bosch presents the world’s first 10.8 volt cordless angle grinder for professionals – the GWS 10,8-76 V-EC Professional. This very easy-to-use tool excels thanks to its high power and its design, which is optimized for cutting. The 10.8 volt angle grinder is compact, lightweight and yet highly powerful. This makes it the ideal mobile helper for making quick, short cuts in different materials. With its 76-millimeter disc and a maximum cutting depth of 16 millimeters, it reliably cuts cable ducts, threaded rods and edge strips for tiles, as well as tiles and tile grouts, pipes, hollow profiles and even perforated bricks and parquet flooring. It provides electricians, installers and tilers, but also roofing contractors, drywall constructors and interior designers with a handy helper for all cutting applications.
Low weight, special ergonomics and high-performance EC motor Weighing only 900 grams, the GWS 10.8-76 V-EC Professional is very light and shaped to fit naturally in the hand during use. This small powerhouse is designed specially for cutting work and can be used anywhere, even in tight spaces and hard-to-reach areas. Unlike conventional angle grinders, the disc is not attached horizontally, but rather vertically. Thanks to this ergonomic advantage, it can be guided very easily and in a controlled way, replacing other tools such as the handsaw. A powerful, brushless EC motor delivers high performance, making the compact, lightweight design possible and allowing the user to make quick progress. The EC motor does not require any maintenance and ensures the long life of the tool. Other features of the GWS 10.8-76 V-EC Professional include a protective hood, which can be set easily and comfortably without the need for a wrench. When the angle grinder is switched off, the disc stops moving in less than a second.
Extensive range of accessories for different requirements
To enable tradespeople to respond flexibly to task demands, Bosch offers an extensive range of accessories: Choose from a metal cutting disc, a multimaterial cutting disc and a diamond cutting disc. To allow users to change these discs quickly and conveniently, the GWS 10.8-76 V-EC Professional features a new type of spindle lock: The spindle lock no longer has to be pressed down continuously, as is the case with conventional angle grinders, but rather is briefly released before changing discs and then reengaged.
